By accessing and using The OpenRole website and submitting content through our contribution program, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Contribution Program

2.1 Eligibility

Contributors must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent. By submitting content, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2.2 Submission Requirements

• All content must be original and created by you
• Content must follow the provided template structure
• Case studies must be submitted for all 4 platforms (YouTube, LinkedIn, SubStack, Medium) to qualify for payment
• All sources must be properly cited
• Content must not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights

2.3 Payment Terms

• Payment is made only for complete bundles (all 4 platforms)
• Payment amount is as specified in our contribution program
• Content must be approved by our review team before payment is processed
• Payment terms will be communicated upon approval
• We reserve the right to reject submissions that do not meet quality standards

3. Intellectual Property Rights

3.1 Content Ownership and Transfer of Rights

By submitting content to The OpenRole, you agree to transfer and assign all rights, title, and interest in the submitted content to The OpenRole. Upon submission and acceptance, The OpenRole becomes the exclusive owner of all intellectual property rights in the content, including but not limited to copyrights, trademark rights, and any other proprietary rights.

This transfer grants The OpenRole the unrestricted right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, sublicense, and display the content across all platforms and media formats, in perpetuity, without further compensation to you beyond the agreed payment for the submission.

4. Content Standards and Guidelines

All submitted content must:

• Be accurate and factually correct to the best of your knowledge
• Not contain defamatory, offensive, or harmful material
• Not promote illegal activities or violate any laws
• Not contain spam, advertising, or promotional content (unless relevant to the case study)
• Respect privacy and confidentiality

5. Review Process

All submissions undergo a review process. We reserve the right to:

• Accept or reject any submission
• Request revisions before acceptance
• Edit content for clarity, grammar, or formatting
• Remove content that violates these terms

The review timeline is typically 7 days, but may vary depending on submission volume.

6. Warranties and Representations

By submitting content, you warrant that:

• You are the original author or have the necessary rights to submit the content
• The content does not infringe on any third-party rights
• The content is accurate and not misleading
• You have obtained necessary permissions for any quoted material or data

7. Liability and Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The OpenRole, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your submitted content or violation of these terms.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our contribution program at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which The OpenRole operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
